On the 4th May I will be standing for re-election as your District Councillor for Briston.
Over the past four years since I was elected, I have helped numerous residents with queries they have raised with me. These have covered a wide range of topics including getting assistance with housing and benefits issues, maintaining paths and highways and more besides. I have a strong record of attending and working with the parish council. One area of particular focus for me is North Norfolk District Council’s customer service. They provide a wide range of services which include planning, bin collections, housing and looking after the environment. Too often, residents have complained to me that they have found it challenging to get through to the council - citing long call waiting times and struggling to find out who can deal with their concerns. If the Conservative Group takes control of the council this May, I would like to play a leading role in helping to improve customer service so that it puts responding promptly to residents and businesses at the heart of its operations.
Speeding through our village is another issue that I feel needs to be addressed. I would like to see better signage installed, especially around our local school, to make drivers aware of the potential dangers when they choose to exceed the speed limit. Further, we have an issue with HGVs travelling too fast through Briston and Melton Constable. I would like to see restrictions put in place, alternative routes, and better guidance published from the local authority.
I look forward to seeing many friendly faces across Briston during the campaign, and as always, if you ever need my assistance please do get in touch.
I hope you choose to support me in delivering for our home.
