On the 4th May, I am standing to be your next District Councillor for Suffield Park Ward.
If elected, my priority would be to make sure the council is ACCESSIBLE, ACCOUNTABLE, and AFFORDABLE.
To ensure the needs of our reisdents can be met, our council must be totally ACCESSIBLE. This means an open door operation, not by set appointment only. We need access which can be readily gained for planning, conservation, protection, economic, and housing needs. This approach must be ACCOUNTABLE to the residents, and its success must be measured. All of this must therefore be AFFORDABLE, which means sound, sensible Conservative policies.
Having lived in North Norfolk since 1990, this area has become one I care deeply about and wish to preserve. Prior to moving to North Norfolk, I was fortunate enough to have been a local government officer whilst working in London - an experience that acquainted me well with the necessary requirements to support the individual needs of residents. A community requires support, spirit, and a desire to persevere when times of trouble inevitably occur.
I have cherished being a community radio broadcaster, which has served to act as a conduit for young local people who wish to train in this field and by extension, understand the needs and requirements of others. It is this degree of understanding that will serve me well if chosen to be your District Councillor.
I hope you choose to place your trust in me to deliver for Cromer and its residents, to ensure we can continue to be proud of our home.
