We hope to continue our work as your District Councillors representing your best interests in Hoveton & Tunstead Ward, by standing again in the District Council election on 4th May. The District Council mainly deals with planning, housing, waste collection, environmental protection, council tax collection and economic growth/job creation.
Nigel has mostly focused on economic growth, planning and environmental matters to help business growth, with new local jobs and training schemes/career opportunities for young people. He has also ensured development planning includes matching infrastructure, environmental and quality of life benefits. This has included resolving foul water and surface water flooding problems and striving for better quality housing and wildlife habitat creation to protect our precious rural lifestyles and ecosystems.
Gerard is passionate about preserving our beautiful rural environment in North Norfolk. To that end, he recently helped to plant 1,400 bushes near Hoveton Village Hall and Pocket Park as part of a rewilding scheme. If re-elected to North Norfolk District Council; he would continue his efforts to maintain our beautiful landscape in North Norfolk. He will fight hard for Hoveton and Tunstead to make sure there is sufficient funding to accomplish this.
